Over twenty years ago, MARSI realized the financial impact on billing days and the “red flags” raised by post-bill auditing. We began providing pre-bill auditing and are still one of the few companies that offer this service.
Our process has been tested with hundreds of thousands of pre-bill records. One of our corporate clients used it in their five day, discharge to bill process.
It is not just auditing. Our findings are supported with the facts in the chart using pertinent coding concepts. They become educational for the coders we review.
We also highlight queries that need to be taken to the physicians to correct over coding and/or to capture the best DRG.
