Todd M. Husty, D.O., FACEP – Managing Director
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Husty is the lead physician overseeing medical record review, physician education, and daily operations of MARSI. Dr. Husty has been performing clinical record reviews since 1982 and has been providing physician documentation improvement training since 1987.
Considered an expert in documentation for DRG’s, APC’s, Emergency Medicine, Inpatient vs. Observation, and Risk Adjustment Dr. Husty has served on and has been the Medical Director of multiple hospital committees including Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Medical Executive, Utilization Review, and Health Information, and has also served as Chairman of Departments of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Husty has served as the Medical Director/Physician Advisor of Utilization Review for many hospitals in Florida, California, Wyoming, New Mexico and West Virginia. Dr. Husty is a nationally known speaker for AAPC and AHIMA.
An associate professor and clinical preceptor for the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine, Dr. Husty’s area of special interest is the direct correlation between the quality of documentation with the quality of care and reimbursement systems that promote both, such as Risk Adjustment.

Laura Goodman, CPC, CHCCS-E, CRC – HCC Manager
Laura has been involved in Medicare Risk Adjustment for over 13 years. She has worked in both the coding and auditing aspects of HCC and HHS HCC Risk Adjustment. Laura has been involved in all aspects of MARSI’s Risk Adjustment/HCC department including education, training, project management, and development of the HCC department. Laura has extensive knowledge of ICD-10 coding along with coding guidelines and Coding Clinic.
Laura is a Certified HCC Specialist – Expert (CHCCS-E) through PAHCS. She received her certification training through MARSI’s HCC training course. Laura is also a CPC and a CRC through the AAPC.
